Somatic Therapy Session
Somatic Therapy works with the principles of trauma resolution within the nervous system as modeled by Somatic Experiencing®.
Somatic Therapy attends to the whole organism. It helps clients heal from trauma, reduce their stress, manage chronic illness and pain, lessen anxiety, and resolve the suffering of enmeshed physical & emotional ailments.
The body's innate aptitude is toward regulation. In a Somatic Therapy session, we are working to create the conditions that enable this regulation to occur.
This is the capacity of the human organism to heal itself.

Somatic Therapy can resolve or lessen symptoms of
Trauma resulting from; abuse, injuries, accidents, severe illness, a difficult birth or medical interventions, overwhelming stressors of all kinds
Developmental/Early trauma/Attachment trauma resulting from child abuse/neglect, birth complications, early hospitalization, overwhelmed family/parental unit, intergenerational trauma.
Somatic healing attends to the whole.
One is often motivated by a single, or cluster of symptom(s). An integrated SE® approach can attend to symptoms that could be stemming from a dysregulated nervous system such as,
-Stress-associated syndromes; chronic pain, fibromyalgia, digestive disorders, IBS, migraines, chronic fatigue, flash backs, insomnia.
-Emotional Struggles; depression, sadness, anger, anxiety, confusion, feeling stuck, low self-image or lack of self-confidence.
-Relationship issues; fear of intimacy, re-anactment patterning in intimate relationships.
